I’m a deep thinker, creative problem solver, chaos organizer, beauty finder. I’ve had 17 years of experience in the fashion industry as an Art Director, mass market clothing Designer and a Graphic Designer. The fashion industry is like many other industries that produce and market products globally. In the last decade focus on digital design, social media and web presence has become increasingly important. In this way my graphic design skills have been honed and sharpened.
Context is incredibly import. I’m a curious person and naturally do extensive research to understand anything I’m working on. My first task as a commercially potent designer, is to understand who I’m trying to reach and motivate. Acquainting myself with upcoming art, design and cultural trends is a piece of my everyday life. I’m an intuitive trend wave finder, often identifying trends years before they make a cultural splash. My design philosophy is to extract and refine everything I touch to it’s truest design state. I will always find a way of speaking to my customer effectively and in an eye pleasing way.
When you get right down to it, good design cannot contain ego or status. It functions seamlessly in it’s space and shouldn’t require explanation. Understanding which details are important and which to omit is essential in great design. True beauty is both mathematical and emotional. It tingles both sides of our brain in one look.
In addition to my design skills, I’m an enterprising and innovative thinker. I’m highly interested in branding and marketing. I love to think outside the box and discover exciting ways of getting the audience to buy into my idea. I enjoy the challenge of winning the crowd over with fresh and imaginative perspectives. When something is clever our brains definitely take an extra moment to notice.
Throughout my professional design career I’ve also worked on home design projects. These projects are custom murals, interior design and exterior landscape designs. I love exciting my clients with an invigorating imaginitive vision of their old tired spaces. I’m inspired to create homes with a renewed sense of charm and purpose.
